Katie is a production designer based out of New Mexico after building her career in New York.  She is a member of The Art Director's Guild, Local 800.


She studied Film at Vassar College, and deciding on a career in production design felt like a natural fit for her creative talents.  She worked her way up through independent films that found Festival success, such as GIMME THE LOOT winning the Grand Jury Prize at SXSW 2012 and various Sundance premieres including WE THE ANIMALS which won the NEXT Innovator Prize in 2018.  She is continually inspired by collaborating with directors on bringing their visions to life.  Her work is driven by seeking to create authentic visual layers to enhance the innovative and enduring ways that cinema tells stories.

 


Katie's work has shown at festivals including Sundance, Cannes, Venice, Berlinale, and more, with most projects available on streaming platforms including Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon.  She has worked in NYC, Upstate NY, Los Angeles, Albuquerque, Salt Lake City, Miami, Alabama, Jamaica, and Ghana.
